A visit from the First Minister
I’ve been working at the Briggait since 2013, and it’s been really great to see the recent redevelopment of a large part of this historic building. Last week the First Minister of Scotland John Swinney was given a tour to see the progress and he popped in to see what some of the artists and makers based here get up to. Naturally I babbled at him about hammers and rocks, and showed him a few of the wedding rings I’ve been working on this month.
If you’d like to see what’s been going on at the Briggait you can learn more about the redevelopment here.
I did a tour of the site while it was under construction and one of our guides mentioned the corner block could become a wine bar, and I would love nothing more than for this to happen. This is the space, please tell your hospitality friends to open a wine bar. Thanks!
That veered slightly off topic. Anyway, it was a very special moment to meet the First Minister, and I hope he enjoyed his visit.
